Grant Howard - President
Since 1988, Grant has served as Owner and President of The Howard Group Inc., Western Canada's oldest investor and financial relations firm. With a focus on assisting small and micro cap companies, Grant has directed the raising of more than $50 million in equity for Howard Group clients, assisted in the successful defense of two hostile takeover attempts, advised on mergers and acquisitions and worked with a myriad of management teams in the development and implementation of business plans.
He is also President and owner of Accolade Capital, General Partner for the Insight Limited Partnerships I and II, which invests in micro cap opportunities and is governed by an independent board of highly successful entrepreneurs.
He served as a director of Solana Resources for 12 years until November 2008 when it merged with another international energy company creating an entity with a billion dollar market capitalization and in excess of 11 thousand barrels of oil production per day. He was also a former director of Southward Energy Ltd. and ATC Petroleum Services.
Grant is a member of the Advisory Committee to the Bissett School of Management at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. He is a former Director of the Calgary Angel Network Committee, a community based and supported organization.
Prior to forming The Howard Group, he enjoyed a multifaceted career in the communications industry, spanning ten years as a television and radio journalist to 1981 and crisis and media consultant to 1988. During that period, his clients included the Calgary Police Service, The XV Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, The Justice Academy of British Columbia, Oxford Developments and The Optometric Association of Alberta.
Grant was a founding member of the Calgary Crimestoppers Association, has assisted with fund raising for the ALS Society of Alberta and has served on boards of various organizations that have provided funding for a broad base of charitable groups. He was a founding member of the Willow Park Charity Classic, which has raised over $5 million dollars to date.

Peter Weichler - Managing Director
Peter brings over twenty years of Industry experience to the Howard Group. His background includes:
- 12 years as a Senior Investment Advisor with three major Canadian Investment firms specializing in Small Capital stocks.
- 2 years as a Loans/Lease Broker including one year with a leading Trust Company specializing in Oil and Gas Lending.
- 3.5 years Commercial Bank lending with a Major Canadian Bank, including one year as a Trade Finance Specialist.
Educated in Edmonton completing a B.A. in Political Science and an M.B.A in Finance.
Peter's background and experience will assist the Howard Group in providing financial sourcing and an expansion of the retail investor network and institutional money managers.

Bob Beaty - Senior Associate
Bob has over twenty years of experience as a journalist, primarily as an investigative reporter at the Calgary Herald. During his career, he was twice nominated for Governor General awards for investigative journalism.
As a business reporter, he uncovered a botched federal government scientific research tax program that consumed at least $2 billion in taxpayer funds. As a political reporter, he garnered a second nomination for his work done about the politics and dubious finances of a Native reserve near Calgary.
In 2000, Bob became a freelance journalist writing about Canadian judicial and business matters for overseas news organizations. He is currently in the throes of researching a book about a true-life murder mystery.
Bob is also spearheading development of a unique affordable housing project in Calgary.
He joined The Howard Group in 2006.

Jeff Walker - Senior Associate
Jeff joined The Howard Group in May 2007 bringing with him extensive experience including:
- Investor Relations with an Oil and Gas company for two years.
- Played a major role in $50,000,000 Preferred Share Issue helping both raise and place the funds.
- Financial Advisor at a major investment/insurance company for three years.
- Completed Canadian Securities Course.
- Territory Manager with Panasonic Canada Inc. for seven years.
- Six years as a small business owner and entrepreneur.

Dave Burwell - Senior Associate
Throughout his career, Dave has held marketing, communications and financial roles with not-for-profit, government and public companies, such as Shaw Communications, Rare Method, Casino Niagara and the Canadian Red Cross. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business - Marketing from Brock University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from Niagara College.
In 2002, Dave received the Queens Golden Jubilee Award for his extensive community service, including Chairing the Canadian National Triathlon Championships in 1996.

Harvey Brovald - Analyst
Harvey Brovald has over 35 years experience in sales, sales management and executive management with both multinational computer corporations and successful entrepreneurial start-up companies. Mr. Brovald has worked with organizations such as IBM, Wang Canada Limited, Prime Computer and Bull HN Information Systems and Sonic Mobility. Currently, Harvey devotes his time to micro-cap business analysis, new ventures and small business in a mentoring and strategic advisory capacity. Harvey is also an analyst and advisor with Accolade Capital, General Partner for the Insight Limited Partnership I and II. Harvey holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., and he is a President's Class graduate of Harvard Business School.

Judy Howard - Office Administrator
A former executive assistant to the President and CEO of a Toronto Stock Exchange listed intermediate oil and gas company, Judy brings extensive experience to manage and coordinate the many suppliers needed to provide product and service to the Howard Group. In addition to her accounting role, her duties include resource planning and allocation and budgeting.
Rachel Halford - Office Administrative Assistant
- Effectively coordinates the daily needs and activities of The Howard Group.
- Distributes corporate materials & media communications.
- Maintains the corporate website and database.
