AeroMechanical Announces Management Change And Appointment

Calgary, Alberta CANADA, August 17, 2006 - AeroMechanical Services Ltd. (AMA - TSX Venture), ("AMS") is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Tom French as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO"). Mr. French is a Certified General Accountant with 26 years experience. Mr. French has experience in global aviation and dealing with multinational companies; most recently spending the last 5 years as CFO with Eagle Helicopters Ltd, a privately held aircraft and parts manufacturing, sales, leasing, and heavy overhaul organization. To facilitate the appointment of Mr. French, Murray Malley resigned as CFO, effective August 16, 2006. Mr. Malley stated that "I have been pleased to provide my services during the last 6 months to assist AMS in its financings and through its transition from development to a world aviation supplier of services".

The AMS Board would like to thank Mr. Malley for his effort and support during his tenure. Mr. Malley will retain his rights to his options in AMS. Tom French will be joining AMS on October 15th, 2006. Christine Larkin CA, the current chair of the audit committee of AMS, will assume the duties of the Chief Financial Officer of AMS during the interim period.
