Calgary, Alberta CANADA, August 27, 2007 /FSC/ - AeroMechanical Services Ltd. (AMA - TSX Venture), received notice on August 21, 2007, that Star Navigation (SNA on TSX-v) has filed a Request for Ex Parte Reexamination of our patent number 7,203,630, alleging that a United States patent owned by Viraf Kapadia and Hilary Vieira (former President of SNA) presents a new question of patentability. It is the opinion of both AMS and AMS's counsel that the '630 Patent owned by AeroMechanical Services Ltd. was validly issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. AMS will ensure that our position is strongly represented with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and AMS will be working with legal counsel to oppose the reexamination proceedings in the event reexamination is ordered.
