BURNABY, BC, Oct. 6 /CNW/ - International Water-Guard Industries Inc. (IWG) announced today its "Smart Water System" family of products at the National Business Aviation Association annual convention and tradeshow in Orlando , FL.

"The Smart Water System represents the next stage in evolution of the aircraft water system," said IWG President & Chief Executive Officer David C. Fox. "We are market leaders in the supply of on-board UV water treatment solutions, and developed the Circulating Potable Water System several years ago. This initiative ties all components together with a flexible controller technology, allowing cost effective custom system configurations, as well as fault tolerant and robust solutions for major aircraft programs," he added.

The "Smart Water System" comprises a family of controller modules designed to manage power and data to active system components such as pumps, valves, heaters, level sensors and Water Treatment Units. The controllers are networked, and master control can shift between units, making the system very fault tolerant. Ultimately, system data and control can be passed to a cabin management system, or to an IWG user interface.
