Asia Now Intersects 17 Metres at 0.96% Copper Near Surface at Habo

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 19, 2007) - Asia Now Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:NOW) is pleased to announce assay results from the first completed drill hole testing a large porphyry copper-gold mineralization system at its Habo Project in Yunnan Province, China.

Hole HBD901 was collared on a mineralized outcrop and stopped in mineralization at 500.2 metres core length. Mineralization is reported throughout the entire core length. Assay results are summarized as follows:

Note: Copper equivalence was calculated assuming US$1.50/lb. copper,
US$25/lb. molybdenum, US$500/oz. gold; only results above 0.2% copper
equivalent are shown. Metallurgical recoveries and net smelter returns are
assumed to be 100%.

"These results confirm the presence of wide subsurface mineralization with local higher grade zones, potentially amenable to large-scale open-pit mining," said President Kaihui Yang. "We have just started to test a small part of a very large porphyry system that includes several mineralization systems within the area of our Habo Project and are very encouraged by these first results."

Hole HBD901 is the first of 12 drill holes totalling 5,800 meters planned to test the porphyry copper-gold system on prominent hills in the Habo South block, the southern tenement of the Habo Project. The porphyry system covers an area at least 1,300 metres by 800 metres (open in all directions) within a soil geochemical anomaly 3.5 km by 2.1 km, outlined using 250 ppm copper, 16 ppb gold and 10 ppm molybdenum. This is one of four major gold-copper-molybdenum soil anomalies associated with the Habo intrusive complex.

Three drill rigs are now on-site on the Habo Project. The drilling program is focused on the southern part of the Habo South anomaly where extensive porphyry-style copper-gold mineralization has been found on surface. As previously reported on February 6, 2007, assay results from adit and trench samples show enhanced grades over 300 continuous metres with local values up to 1.8% copper, 1.1 g/t of gold and 0.12% molybdenum. In addition, initial trenching at another major copper-gold-molybdenum soil geochemical anomaly in the northern part of the Habo Project found one gold mineralized zone 7.10 metres wide with an average grade of 5.4 g/t, and a zone 5.45 metres wide grading 2.1 g/t.

The Habo Project involves a joint venture with Yunnan Geology and Mineral Resources Company Limited. It covers an area of 162 sq. km, in which Asia Now can earn not less than a 70% interest and up to an 88% interest.

SAMPLING, ASSAYING, QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALIFIED PERSON

Core samples were cut into halves using a diamond saw. The half-core samples were assayed using aqua regia digestion with AAS determination for gold, and hydrochloric/perchloric (HCl/HClO4) digestion with ICP-MS determination for copper, molybdenum, silver, zinc, lead and others (a total of 35 elements). For samples with Cu grade higher than 1%, the four acid (HCl/HNO3/HClO4/HF) digestion method and AAS determination were applied. All the assays were completed at Intertek Laboratory in Beijing in accordance with international standard ISO-17025. To maintain independent quality control on the laboratory, duplicate samples are submitted from 5% of sample sites and replicate samples are submitted for 3% of samples. In addition, the laboratories use an extensive range of internal standards. External check assays are routinely performed on check samples submitted independently by the Company to Ultra Trace Analytical Laboratories, Canning Vale, Western Australia.

Exploration on all of the Company's projects are conducted under the supervision of Dr. Noel C. White, a director and consultant to the Company and a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101. Dr. White has read and approved this news release. Disclosure on mineralization on adjacent properties has not been verified by Dr. White and is not necessarily indicative of the Company's anticipated results. Where provided, potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature as the Company has not conducted sufficient exploration to define a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource.
