Asia Now Unveils an Aggressive Exploration Plan

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 28, 2010) - Asia Now Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:NOW) is pleased to report the exploration plans for both of its major projects in Yunnan Province of China: Beiya and Habo. These plans have been approved by the Boards of the joint venture companies and the Board of Asia Now. The increased programs are the result of encouraging results in the 2009 exploration program which were discussed in prior news releases February 16, 2010 and March 1, 2010.

A drilling program totaling 17,400 meters in two phases has been planned for Beiya to focus on the northeast section of the 13km-long by 2km-wide gold zone that includes the adjacent Beiya Gold Mine with production capacity being expanded up to 200,000 ounces of gold annually, the largest open-pit gold mine in Yunnan. Infill drilling on a grid 80 meters by 80 meters is being carried out to define the extent of the main, thick gold-silver zone confirmed by drilling at 160 meters by 160 meters in 2009 (see News Release dated February 16, 2010). In addition, drilling will test potential high-grade copper-gold zones within the magnetic anomalies and soil geochemical anomalies at Beiya Northeast, and a strong magnetic anomaly that extends from the adjacent Beiya Gold Mine. In the Beiya Gold Mine this magnetic anomaly has been drilled recently, and contains a thick, high-grade massive copper-gold sulfide zone. Currently four drilling rigs are operating on our Beiya project and additional rigs are to be moved in. The Company also plans to contract an independent consultant for a resource estimate in Beiya North at NI 43-101 Standard.

Habo is located at the under-explored, southeast part of the productive Tethyan belt that contains some of the world's largest porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum ore deposits such as Sar Cheshmeh in Iran, and Reko Diq (owned by Barrick Gold, etc.) in Pakistan. Results to date indicate strong geological similarities of the Habo porphyries with the big systems in Iran and Pakistan. We have confirmed a large porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold mineralization system that covers an area of 2300 meter by 1300 meter at Habo South, and two tunneling programs continue to define the extent of high-grade molybdenum and copper zones. Regional comprehensive geological and geophysical programs will focus on testing other geochemical anomalies to discover more high-grade porphyry mineralization systems.

Asia Now has always been committed to building a long-term portfolio of mineral exploration and mining properties in China. The Company continues to consider and evaluate business arrangements and cash-flow or close to cash-flow projects that will add shareholder value. The company has developed extensive relationships with significant investors especially in Asia, and is exploring potential strategic opportunities in the global mining industry and Asian markets. President of the Company, Kaihui Yang, stated: "Asia Now has been diligent with its careful approach to developing significant projects within the company. We are discussing some excellent opportunities in the global mining industry and in the Asian markets with potential strategic partners."
